A well established software product company in Dulles, Virginia is currently looking for a Senior Front-End Developer for permanent, full-time position. Salary up to $120,000 + benefits. Additional perk of being able to use the airport toll road M-F at will with no penalty from law enforcement!!!
You must be motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation/implementation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Develop new user-facing features for multiple client facing applications
* Build reusable code and libraries for future use and maintainability
* Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
* Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
* Implement validation of user input before submitting to back-end
* Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
* Suggest innovative solutions using emerging technologies
* Applying test driven development and automation where necessary
Required Skills
* Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 including CSS grid and Bootstrap
* Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
* Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
* Understanding of Angular
* Proficient in responsive web design
* Knowledge and experience of image authoring tools, be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image; Familiarity with SVG drawing or Zeplin is a plus
* Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git or Mercurial
* Experience working in Java based web applications development environments is desired
* Good communication and interaction skills working in small cross functional teams; Able to work with a diverse set of partners and team members
